Ultrasound Hands-On Virtual Workshop October 17, 2020

This course combines online lecture with virtual hands-on scanning instruction.

Instructed by: Sabrina Speer, Julie Gaston

Course Description

Our virtual training course allows practitioners to learn ultrasound remotely. We combine online lectures with live hands-on scanning instruction to provide a foundation for scanning. We then watch and provide feedback while practitioners scan patients on their own equipment. This back and forth communication solidifies the material taught in the course as well as answers practitioners questions on their equipment and scanning technique. The virtual sessions will be scheduled when convenient for the practitioner.

Students will receive immediate access to online lectures to watch at their convenience before the hands on session. These lectures include foundational information in ultrasound physics, anatomy, scanning technique, pathology and terminology. Access to these lectures will be for one year.
