Kerry Faulk is a lead diagnostic medical sonographer within the Women's Division at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina and a clinical instructor for Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute where she assists in clinical instruction of ultrasound students in the specialty of OB/GYN. She earned her bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography at Advent Health University in 2013 and recently received a certificate in Healthcare Leadership through Duke Corporate Education. Kerry has 18 years of experience, is registered in OBGYN and Fetal Echo, and has been invited to speak at several SMDS conferences. She is a CME reviewer for SDMS, an NCUS board member, and volunteers with the Atrium Health PATCH (Propelling Adolescents Towards Careers in Healthcare) program, which provides students in underserved communities with an equal opportunity to learn about and pursue a career in healthcare, ultimately producing a more diverse healthcare workforce that reduces health disparities in Charlotte area communities. Aside from scanning, Kerry has spent time consulting in the development of artificial intelligence for prenatal ultrasound and process development and improvement for the Atrium Health Women's Division. Kerry is passionate about obstetrical ultrasound, improving patient outcomes, education, and mentorship. In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with her daughter and boxer, Charlie.
